RG Project

With the winter break coming soon I thought I would get out my old beat up RG and do a little tune up. This is kinda what I'm aiming for:

At this point the most important thing would be choosing the stain colour. What do you guys think?

Re: RG Project

A little update on the project, this is how the guitar looks like right now:

The new idea is to put a flamed or quilted maple veneer on top of that and stain the wood in a RG-ART kind of a fashion. Expect the next update in like a week or so...

Re: RG Project

Looking good.

What kind of bridge are you putting in it? I would've thought you would've gone for a standard fixed bridge? Easier, and no need to route out a hole.

Re: RG Project

you could probably fit a floyd rose on there. the mounting holes are identical to my rg120 body, which had a fat10 and fits a floyd. just double check the mesurements before you put one just in case. can wait to see it when its finished!

Re: RG Project

Hey everyone, today I picked up some freshly shipped pieces of maple veneer. As you can see they are matched and are really nice. Im going to put them together probably this weekend and we shall see what happens next
