RG20th depreciation - not good news...

As new RG20th in RFR sold on the UK 'Bay yesterday. For £450.

Ouch.

How much did they cost new? They do seem cheap second hand

Wow, I think this is one of those freakish accidents you get on e-bay though.

I once sold a Peavey 2 X 12 combo on there (can't remember what it was but it was high-end for the time) for £80. I was livid, lol. Didn't help that the buyer was a complete douche either.

£749-899 roughly. £600 or less second-hand, anything more and you're getting spanked.

Let's just hang fire for a year or so before casting judgements on depreciation though. Once they've dried up and most are under people's beds I think we'll see an increase.

no man, I'd flog the RG1570 to pay for it. Reluctantly.

Re: RG20th depreciation - not good news...

An original '87 with Evos went for £420 the week before. At £400 I'd have taken the original myself.

It's a bad time of year to sell and gamble on a 99p start. There was a reserve but the seller dropped it during the auction. They must have REALLY wanted to sell.

That says alot. I wager that it was his need to get rid of it that contributed to the low sale price. I don't think it's going to be the norm.

I agree. It's like a lot of collector-type guitars, they're only worth the money if there is somebody there to spend it.

I only just sold that RG 20th last week for £600, I would of bid on that if I knew about it, £450 is unbelieveable.
