RG350 Pickguard change

I mentioned in the Black 550 20th thread that I'd like that black pickguard what he has on my 350 to replace the scratched silver default looking one. I've looked at the links at the top of the page, and pickguard paradise only seem to do elaborate ones but not plain ones. I've googled pickguard replacements with various wordings and nothing for Ibanez's could be found.

Is there anywhere that do them? The 550 seems to have black with a white trim (or silver trim to go with the other silver parts on the guitar) anyone any ideas where I could get one and how much?

thanks everyone

We can make any guard you need not just elaborate guards. Just let us know what you need.

Re: RG350 Pickguard change

Well I've just been emailing Tom from pickguard Paradise with a few queries regarding this (speedy response too!) and i'm going to order one tommorow. My aim is to make the body look like the RG550 in this thread:

As soon as I've got it all set up, I'll be posting pictures here.

Re: RG350 Pickguard change

Thanks to Tom at pickguard paradise for the pickguard. As promised I'd post some pictures of my RG350 with its new pickgaurd on. I got in from work today to see it had been delivered, so I dropped everything and fitted it on then took pics and posted here!

Was a tricky little bugger trying to screw the pick ups to the guard without taking the strings off but i managed lol (how lazy!!!)

I like the way it's turned out, it was exactly as I had in mind as shown from the RG 20th in black. I may also get 2 new knobs for volume and tone. Mind you the Bridge isn't full on black so may keep it as it is to go with the 2 current vol/tone knobs.

And here's another two pics of the rest of the family, my old tired looking EX370 and the regular Jem7VH we all love or hate

Huh, that is actually really classy-looking, I like it. I'd keep the knobs as they are, I prefer that type of knob overall.

Re: RG350 Pickguard change

thanks djohns74, yeah the knobs are growing on me, I was thinking of the other style as the white numbers and wording would match the pickgaurd trim, but then nothing would match the bridge. So yeah I'll think I'll keep it as it is.

cheers

Re: RG350 Pickguard change

White knobs, switch tip and pickups is what I'd go for. PBK style! The pickguard looks tons better. BTW, no need to take the strings off if you want to change a guard, just unbolt the neck and you're good to go.

Re: RG350 Pickguard change

white knobs n pick up switch, sounds quite good and striking.

I never thought about taking the neck off, I can see how that would be much more accessible, mind you I'm one of those people who doesn't like the idea of taking the neck off in case i ever thread the wood making it loose.

I love cheap RGs.

Now just put a black OFR in there, and you'll have an awesome guitar.

I like what Dee said about the PBK style: white pickups, switch tip, and knobs. It would look killer with the inlays.

You know there's nothing you can do that would mess up the neck to body joint if you're only unscrewing it and putting it back together again, but no worries, if you're scared, don't do it!

lol i'd find a way to accidentally mess it up

yeah i can picture it would look pretty cool. though dont really wanna spend more on it, pick ups arnt that cheap and would only be worth it if upgrading them. Though who knows what future mods it may end up having, but it is a cool idea, for now though i'll leave it as is.
cheers guys
