Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Yeah http://www.guitar.com.au is a pretty good shop price wise. Another is http://www.musicianswarehouse.com.au . I've had stuff ordered from there and they are pretty good too. They have play-buy setups too, and free shipping for items over $300.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

The main difference between the RG370DX and the RG350Ex is the pickguard and thus how it's routed. Personally, I like my guitars rear-routed (which is why I own an RG370DX).

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Are Schaller and Gotoh Floyd rose licensed models the same profile and routing as the OFR? I've been looking at these two and found some pretty cheap ones (after a lot of searching) and want to know if they would fit in OFR routing.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

The Gotoh is supposed to be the same as the OFR but I don't know about the Schaller...

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

I think they should all be the same. I've had a LO-TRS II, Gotoh Floyd Rose and some licenced crappy thing in the same guitar no problems.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

The only upgrades I want to do to my rg 350 (because I bought mine yesterday) are the pickups. I payed about u$s 550 for the guitar, and I can get some dimarzio for about u$s 70 each one (I know a guy who can get them for me at this price). So I will end up spendig u$s 760, which is a very good price in my opinion. And about the Edge III, I've been using and abusing it all day long and I hadn't had to tune the guitar anytime. It works so much better than what I expected.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Wow, you paid $550 for an RG350? I think you got ripped off, man. The RG350s sell brand new here for about $400. And yeah, the Edge III isn't a bad trem at all for the money but there's always better.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

It was a good price if you have in mind that I bought it in Argentina (where too much things costs too much). I could have tried buying it on **** or something like that, but I prefered to do it on a normal store. It seemed safer to me...

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Fair enough, then. It probably would've cost you more buying it off 'evilbay' or something because then you would've had to pay all sorts of shipping fees.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

If your looking at pulling out the Edge III for a Floyd Rose, look for a Ping floyd. They have been blessed by Floyd Rose and are every bit as good and cheaper.

I'm looking at getting a 350dx or a 320dxqm havent made up my mind yet.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Hey guys (first post )!

I was just wondering what you guys thought about a little project I'm thinking of doing... I plan on buying a RG350EX and hotrodding it to the max... I plan on getting a gold OFR, gold knobs, a gold Kahler "Behind the Nut" nut, gold Sperzels, a black pickgaurd, and a DiMarzio Evolution/HS-2/Air Norton combo. I made it in a virtual guitar maker, and this is what it would look like (the guitar maker didn't have neck binding or sharkteeth inlays, but I got it as close as I could )

I did a (very) rough summary of how much it would all cost and it came out to about $850. What do you guys think of this little project?

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

If you prefer the Wizard II neck to the Wizard Prestige neck, then it sounds cool. Otherwise, I would just get a used RG2570.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex

Yeah, I have pretty large hands, and the Wizard Prestige is just a little too thin for my liking. The Wizard II has just the right thickness for me.
