Neck. Because you always put neck single coils in the middle unless they are actually a pickup just for the middle. Tha's why you usually see them designate "Bridge" and "Neck and Middle" when buying pickups.

Thanks a lot. Very helpful! One more question: As far as pickup replacements go, is the RG350 "Rear access plate style" or "Front
Strat style
"?

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex
Hey. Just got my RG350DX. I have a problem : The bolts at the neck are tightened tightly, and I try to tune the guitar with the fine tuners (which seems to work fine at first), but when I go back to each individual after tuning all of them, they are already about 1/8-1/4 step out of tune. Eventually, I tighten the fine tuners down so far that i cant turn them any further, and they'll still go out of tune.
I've tried to loosening the
tuning pegs
(a lot) just to see if the bolts are not tight enough, but no luck.
The weirdest thing about the whole thing is when I'm doing this I'm not dive bombing or anything like that, I'm simply just plucking and tuning.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex
Is this your first floating
trem guitar
?
If it is, take the time to read some floating trem tuning guides.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex
I used to own a 350dx. I thought it was awesome. And the stock pickups aren't bad at all.
As for the edge 3 It wasn't too bad. My only tuning stability problem was on pullups. Divebombs had no problems but When I pulled up the notes would go a bit sharp, but no biggie cause a little vibrato or string bend would put it back in tune.
And one little problem I had with cheaper ibanez's is the nut not being properly aligned. It didn't effect playability though.

Sorry to revive an old thread. Any comments on that RG350MDX? I'm thinking getting one as a "project guitar"...

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex
Same exact guitar as the RG350EX except these differences...
RG350MDX Has-
1. Black Pickguard
2. Black Sharktooth Inlay
3. Maple Fingerboard
4. Black Hardware
Heres what I Advise doing to this guitar...
1. Swap Edge III for an Original
Floyd Rose
Trem
2. All new
DiMarzio pickups
(tone zone, evo, evo II, air norton, Paf's) any DiMarzio really.
I wouldnt go as far as changing the neck or the pots, because this guitar isn't built like a Jem or a Universe.

Re: Rg350Dx/Ex
hey,
I have an
air norton
in the neck and was wondering if an evolution bridge would be a good match?
I am into petrucci, gilbert, vai, neoclassical eg malmsteen, any crisp clear lead songs, and the sound of the jem.
Since I wont be able to buy a jem for some time, im just going to make my 350 the best possible. pups scallops and ofr...
I cant believe the money il get for selling my rg370dx will only buy me an OFR bridge lol.
