Just got one, I'm going to change the pickups and upgrade the bridge but I'm pleasantly surprised with the maple neck and fingerboard...



...of course its nothing compared to my 7vh but still its pretty good for the price

Is the maple smooth? I was gunna get one but I ended up getting an ex because the maple was too "grainy". If you know what I mean.

Yeah its pretty smooth, you can always use a super fine grain sandpaper to make it smoother if you want to

It comes in white too, except thats only for Australian marked I think

You're not thinking of the Southern Cross, are you? That's an Australian exclusive RG550 20th in white.
There is a white version that was exclusive to Sam Ash. I got one and painted it green. It looks sweet in black with the black pickguard; Gilmour Black Strat like. Very classy! I like Wizard 2 better like this without the binding and with the maple. Very comfortable!

I've actually been saving up for this guitar or a Schecter Damien V with the FR. How does it play and is the bridge as horrible as people would like me to believe?
