RG520 vs. RG570

Ok, now I know you guys are getting tired of answering these type of questions from me, but I have been following the "you snooze you lose" addage. I am trying to decide between the 570 and 520 finally. I almost had in order:
RG550 $275 -- got sold
RG2027 $800 -- got sold
RG3120 $750 -- new got sold
RG620 $500 -- new got sold

Now I found a 520 for $450 no case. Wondering if I should go for it or do the 570 for $370, both new. My problem is I only have about $500 to spend. If money werent an object, I would already have a Jem in my possession. I started with $900 but things have come up since then. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions!!

520 = mahogany, 570 = basswood
520 = HH (V7/V8), rear-route, 570 = HSH (V7/S1/V8), rear-route
they're both edges in the guitars you're looking at (cheap 'cause they're pre '03, but excellent by all standards) ..

so really, look for differences in sound and get what sounds better to you ..

520, more gibsony sound (but still very 'ibanezy') 570, more shreddy ibanez sound

$450 for an uncased 520 is a bit steep unless it's DEAD MINT. The 570 price is more reasonable. Where you at in colorado?

My bad...

Something to consider tho.....

New = DEAD MINT?
-OR-
New = Hung on the wall at GC for 2 years?

Someone sold a cased 520SQOL (a rarish 520) in nice shape on jemsite for $300 about six weeks ago...

It is pretty much dead mint. Only very minor pick scratches. I think they have had it a little over a year, but didnt put it out until recently. I think it got lost in their stock. Oh, and I am outside of Loveland.
