I have that guitar, although it's known as the RG550DXPN... the LTD's have the AANJ and rosewood board/sharktooth inlays...
Otherwise, that guitar is legit...

Just done some more digging and concluded that this is indeed a DX and not a LTD as advertised just as I read your post.

Don't know whether the seller has made a genuine mistake with the description or not but it looks like a nice guitar whatever

Presuming the seller's story IS true, I'd say they *somewhat* know what they have but not exactly know what the guitar is.
