RG550 reissue questions

Unfortunately, I was not lucky enough to secure a RG 20th, not through lack of trying. I tried to sell my Gibson Les Paul Custom, to finance the purchase of a RG550MXXRF,but to no avail.

So, these are the questions...

Does anyone think that Ibanez will reissue the 550's as regular production runs? Failing that, does anyone think they will reintroduce the much missed specs we've been waiting for,on future guitars: (Wizard, Edge etc)?

I sure hope they will!!

Re: RG550 reissue questions

I doubt that but you will find those 550s popping up on the bay on a regular bases.

I agree with Dragster. People will be buying these up just to resell at a profit later on.

I think people will try and sell for a profit on the bay - we'll see if they make more than they paid

Re: RG550 reissue questions

wonder how much a DY or a RFR in mint condition with original case and case candy also in mint condition would be worth in a just a few years time.

I think some die hard fans of the 550 would pay over the odds

Re: RG550 reissue questions

That's crazy that the prices would go up so much so fast. I'm hanging on to mine...

Re: RG550 reissue questions

I've been thinking a little more about this. They are scarce in the UK, but with 1200 going to the US I don't think it will take long for some to come up on the bay, and given the exchange rate there are probably some good deals to be done.
