Got the new Purple Mirror Scratchplate yesterday for the RG550. Very good quality it is too. Bought it from Sims Custom shop in Kent, England. Thought I'd fire up these pics:

Thanks man, appreciate it. Unfortunately this looks like it's gonna have to go up for sale. I bought a Caparison Horus last night on the bay, rather my g'friend subbed me the money to buy it. Gotta pay her back right away so I have to offload some gear.

The guitar has the standard V7, S1 and V8 pickups in it but the pickups have coloured bobbin toppers on them.

Thanks dude. I have the Kramer up for sale. The purchase of the Caparison was a spur of the moment thing. One came up on the bay at £800 'Buy it Now' price so it was too good an opportunity to miss. I used to own a Caparison and have really been on the lookout for one after trading mine in March. I really like the Kramer but it has to go as I need to raise funds quick.

Man Daemon, is that the RG you just bought that had the black pickguard? That thing looks slick. The purpleish mirror pickguard gives it a nice touch. I'm still looking for a regular mirror pickguard for my 570. Where's a good place in the US to buy one for the 570?

^ pickguard paradise ftw. they hooked me up on my 7421.

jeannie pickguards is good but i think pickguard paradise offers more colors and stuff. also, terrapin pickguards has some cool stuff. they actually have colored transparent acrylic pickguards which is something i haven't seen from any other companies. i wanted to get one for my 7620, but they don't have a template for it. they have the 770 and the 550, i think.

Sweet RG550 and Caparison. I almost pulled the plug on that Horus but the wife said no so you got lucky heh Let me know when your RG is going on the market.

I didn't know you could get covers for humbuckers without a hassle putting them on. No? Wondering where you get those?

I bought a new mirrored pickguard for my 550 from Jeannie but it was nowhere near that mirror like.
