RG560

Anybody had any experience with a 560? Is it basically just a 550 with a single coil in the neck and no pickguard?

The 560 is a great guitar. I haven't owned one for a long time, but would like to find another some day.

I have one!!! And yep it's a 570 but with HSS configuration. Great guitar. I like single coil tone in the neck more than humbucker so it suits me well. Everythign else is the same as a 570: wizard neck, edge or lo pro edge trem don't know if they ever have any other trems on them. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes HSS config and RG elegance.

Here are some pics. Mines a '91 although it has the specs of a '92, for example: a lo pro edge instead of an original edge. The color is called Grape Ice.

BTW these were taken right after I got it before I had a chance to clean it.

I've got a twin to Kotornut's, but mine's a 1990 model with the original Edge trem. It's my #1 player. I like the single coil neck p-up as well. I've got the action set just right, and it plays and sounds like a dream.

I've had my 560 since 1991 I think. Great guitar and while I like the look of H/S/H better the S1 single coil sounds so sweet in the neck position.

wow, I haven't seen that ad in a while! I used to look it over all the time after I entered to win hoping it would be me. I wonder who did win that rig...

Who knows, but by now they're either probably addicted to drugs or have sold it.
