RG570 or RG1570
I have the chance to buy a new RG570 for a relatively good price. Should I buy it or should I save up and buy an RG1570?
*The RG570 is new but has been sitting in the store for a few years

Re: RG570 or RG1570
Well considering the 1570 is basically a newer 570, I'd say go ahead and grab the 570.

Re: RG570 or RG1570
Well, some of the 550 (or all of them?) came with maple fretboards and a pickguard, where the 570 have no pickguard and have
rosewood fretboards
.

Re: RG570 or RG1570
The major difference between the 550 and the 570 is where it's routed. The 550 is front routed (with pickguard) and the 570 back routed (without pickguard).

Most actually have an original edge, not lo pro.

Re: RG570 or RG1570
Also, besides the just the
maple neck
compared to rosewood, some of the RG570 have the wizzard II necks with bubinga "skunk stripe". Which theres are a bit thinner neck then the regular wizards.
Personally, I like the older 570's with AANJ necks, with the
Edge Trem
, and you can always put a pick guard on it if you want it to look like a 550.

Re: RG570 or RG1570
Yes, it's just a personal opinion. They were all made in Japan so the quality would be about the same. I personally would take an Edge Pro over an Original Edge simply because I like low profile trems, but that's just my preference. I'm sure that others would disagree.

Correction it has an
edge bridge
and guitar goes here around $698 used and $ 1,164.253 new. I know its a scam but southamerican goverments charge a fortune to "nationalize" products more than half these prices went to the goverment when their original users got them. Anyway everyone scams in this country, tha'ts why is so despingao.

That looks like a late 90's RG-570. Original edge tremolo, v7 and v8 pickups. AANJ, bubinga stripe. However, I'm pretty sure those came with a wizard neck, not a wizard II neck. It's a pretty nice guitar. Personally, I don't like a gold finish. I also would rather have cool inlays or a
maple fretboard
. I like front-routing more too like the rg-550.
