rg570 questions

ok, i've been an avid jackson guitars fan...i have a ****ty ibanez rg170..up until now, i was going to get either a jackson rr3 or rr1, but after playing one, the jackson neck is just too wide for me, too uncomfortable for rhythm or sweeping. My ibanez neck feels much better width-wise. I have one concern though, does the ibanez rg570 have the same fretwire as the rg170? cause my guitar i alot younger than my friend's import dinky yet my frets are twice as worn out. Im very close to buying a 570, but im worried about the fret wire...also, how does the wizard neck feel like? i know its super thin and that's exactly what im after, but i just want to know what you guys think?

anyways, this is my first post..hello to you all.....
cheers guys.

P.S: any other aussies here?

My RG570 is 10 years old and has needed one fret dress in that time. I don't think wear is a problem.

Fret wear is a function of practice time.
If you never touch the guitar your frets will never wear out. Your friend doesn't put as much time on his dinky as you on your RG.
Otherwise the fret wire might be slightly different because RG170 is made in a different factury in a different country to the RG570, but otherwise I believe they are the same jumbo frets.

I believe that there is much more info on the necks here.

Welcome to the forum.

P.S. The search function is also usefull

the wizard neck is THIN. and FLAT. its so thin and flat it could be a guest star on friends! I suggest you play one before you buy one, but trust me the neck and the action of the guitar will really grow on you
