RG570 with a burned finish?

I ran into a pic of this Tele with a burned basswood finish:

I'm little bored with my RG570's black finish, so what do yout think about a RG570 with a burned finish like that?

I think it would like like a rootbeer jem, which is also burnt basswood right?

the rootbeer isn't burnt.

I think you would be taking somewhat of a chance....basswood usually doesn't have an interesting pattern.

The RB is indeed burnt.

Of course, there's always the BSB, and the JS1000 BTB...

I agree though that you will be taking somewhat of a risk. You never know how many pieces of wood and what quality of wood lurks under a solid finish.
