I just noticed the picture below the volume and tone controls, you don't want to be playing church gigs with that guitar

Cheers dude, I'm kinda digging this one way more than anything else i have done, The mirrorball was to intense for me to ever keep, too many hours of frustration in there, But this has gone 100% according to plan, So far :-)

i feel the Same..you have to get a clear pickguard...
looking good so far..i´m triying now with material finish on a Yamaha RGX110 full mod..

Definately!!! Clear pickguard is definately in order here.

Did you notice the upper horn or just above the whale tail, or just about any where else for that matter? Church gigs are definately out, but I might be tempted to play "doctor" with it.

I know that
..but i would glue the same art to the back of the pickguard..or at least that is what i´m gonna do to my project.. A RG550..
maybe you shoul try that..mine is gonna take a while... still doing the Yamaha
...is taking more that I though

And the glue will show through, trust me it looks tacky and cheap with glue marks, besides, IF i had done it, i would'nt have been able to post pics due to the content, the stuff is filthy

Well if its any conselation, I actually think it would look crap without the pickguard. I think the white perloid pickguard goes really with it, god knows why because it doesnt really match any other parts, but I think it looks good. You gonna do it to the headstock too out of interest?
