RG750? Can you answer this question guys?

OK Guys,
I just picked up another RG thinking that it was an RG750, but something is odd about it that makes me wonder what's up.
It's got 22 frets instead of 24. Did any RG750's come with 22 frets??
It's a rosewood neck with fins of course, HSH with a pickguard and an edge trem, but it's 22 frets which is odd to me.
Is this really an RG750 or what??

<I'll have pics in a few days>

How are the tuning and intonation? Sounds like someone put an S series neck on there. Is there a big gap between the bridge pickup and the neck? You'll have to take off the pickguard to see.

So what's the verdict here? Was this some oddball, or was it just an S series neck?

and you're sure it's not an EX? The inlays are not just triangles, are they?

VERDICT

OK Guys, here's what it was.
This guy was a jackass and put an S540 neck on an RG550, with the big gap between the end of the neck and the neck pickup.
What a moron.
At any rate, I traded the S540 neck towards an RG550 neck and all is fine now.

Here

It looks NOTHING like this now, I already stripped it and it's getting a new finish right now, almost looks like a GMC actually, and it's got new pickups and a 24 fret correct neck.

Interesting.

I can't wait to see the finished product! GMC's are awesome. =)

I'm trying to get my own RG550 project started too, but I'm still hunting down a RG550.
