I've seen them go for $299 new, knock $100 or so off if heavily used

well the one im buying dosent look like the gun metal one with the reverse headstock it is black with dot inlays and normal headstock and i am buying it for 250 with hardshell and wylde overdrive.

hmm... looks like it has a locking nut and a string retainer on it. If so it cant be rgex1 unless there was a different neck put on it. Can't tell cause of the low resolution pic though.

i dont own it yet, there is a jem 555 on **** for pretty cheap so i might get that instead, ya i said jemm 555 ya'll can stuff it snobs....lol

the 220 is about the same in quality as the rgex1.

if the jem 555 is about the same price, thats pretty good. they are ok guitars when you dont think of them as jems.

You get and play what makes you happy first off. However, if you watch for the right deal you can get a very good used 550, S series, or other 5xx MIJ series guitar that will blow away the 555 and rgex. It is a buyers market out there right now.

Everyone once in awhile you will find a super deal but 99.9% of the time you get what you pay for.

Been there done that man so I hear you. Don't settle for something cheap to be able to have it now. Save for now and pratice technique on a crapper and when you hit a good one you will be very happy. That last line works for women too.
