it looks kinds cool. i haven't seen that model yet but i am curious to find out if the Edge III trem is worth a hoot.
if the neck is anything like the new RGR4?? i just tried - eeew, and the pups we weak and lifeless. i was hoping the neck was nice on it since i could easily swap the pups but sadly it was horrible IMHO. too chunky (for an Ibanez neck) and the fret ends were very sharp. it was a let down for a guitar that costs $449 and looks so nice to be such a piece of crap but the specimen i played was just that, crap.
it seems like it is a trem version of the one i tried so i would definitely try one before ordering one sight unseen.

if you mean the one thats in the prestige rg 1520 is it edge III ?
it says edge pro in stats W/piezos

no. not the same trem. the Edge III is a completely different animal than the Edge Pro. Prestige guitars get the Edge Pro or ZR for trems and everything else is getting ZR's, Edge Pro II and III. the EDGE III is something i'm not familiar with yet.

I like it!!! I tried it at the store the other day, and I think the neck is damn comfortable to me, the EMG designed pups weren't bad too, The design is awesome, I like the textured body and the reversed headstock is just sick. And the edge III is awesome too, if it's setup properly.

the model i tried was the RGR421EXFM here http://ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=RGR421EXFM
they are both listed with the same pups and neck. to each his own i guess. that is why it is always good to try something new out first before buying, some will like it and some won't.
i'm going to search the forum a little more on info for the Edge III which looks like a new version of the Lo Pro.
