RGT42DXFM Finish Question...

I just wanted to know what finish is on the Ibanez RGT42DXFM. Is it satin or gloss. i also wanted to know where its the same finish all over the body. e.g. is the neck finish the same as the body finish.

i was thinking about getting one, but i like satin necks as theyre faster.

it's the same finish everywhere

I bought one in January and sold it by june
not a bad guitar but not nearly as nice to play as my beloved 89' RG550
the finish is matte but beware that if you play it 'at all' you will buff it to a nice gloss which in any light looks like grease stains all over the place. Drove me nuts to look at it. I also hated the painted neck, it's so easy to get caught up on it if your hands get the least bit sweaty, and personally I'd rather have the option to replace the neck in case something happened to it (warpage/wreckage) so I don't really trust the new trend in neck through designs. this is just one persons opinion but I would never buy another one...ever!

thanks for the honest reply, im glad you highlighted all those issues. i dont think this guitar is for me then. i will look at the rg1570. what do you thinka about that guitar?
