ok..arived in hk...suppose to buy a RGT42DX...but they dont have it...
instead came across to this MIK model...call RGTCR2..its bascially the same as the rgt42dx except it has no inlay and the cross inlay at 12fret....in black
however,...i cant find more information about this guitar...like..which year model ...caz its not shown anywhere on the ibanez site...
the serial starts with a "Wxxxxxx"..anyone know how to date serial number starting with W???
i just dont wana get rip off for buying an old model guitar...

W means Word Factory in Korea. The model was limited edition run, and I think only for japanese market.

I assume it was 03.
04 limited edition were RG1550FM and RG2550LTD
05 is the RG20051, and HR
Giger series

ok..i have taken some pictures
i m pretty sure is a 06 model which hasnt been release on the site
there were only few of these in hk

My friend has this guitar too, i'll ask him to post some pictures or take some picture's of his guitar myself. The guitar's finish looks very good and has a neck-throught construction. I find the tone coming from this axe to screachy and sharp, a bit like a Vai sound. i suggested to replace pick-ups and he agreed it's a good idea but hasn't come to it yet.
