S Series neck on a strat?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knew if an Ibanez S Series neck would fit on a Strat body? I'm talking about the older, non AANJ one.

I can't seem to find the neck heel dimensions for it.

I think it should. Apparently Ibanez used the block heel on their guitars due to the fact that they had the same measurements as a strat. Some sort of "inferiority complex" I remember reading was the reason for this. People might not like their necks and want to replace them with Fender ones.

Sounds like what you'd read on a Fender forum. Simply, there was no reason to reinvent the wheel. Most bridges are available in "F"ender spacing, and most guitar companies use neck plates that are Fender spec.
