SA160 vs. SC series - Differences?

In my quest for a fixed bridge S guitar, I found a SA160 on Ebay. Any good? Ideally I'd like an SC420, but maybe this one will do. Or not?

Is the SA160 made in Japan? Any quality issues? Opinions? Something I need to know?

It's a Korean special. *I've played one and dug it. *It's not bad at all for such a cheap axe. *Look at it this way, spend the money on it & you can also customize it to SC420 specs down the road.

Or, play it for now and keep looking for a 420. *When you get one, sell the SA or use as a backup. *I really don't think it's worth that much upgrade, especially if you want the stop tailpiece.

Plus, the 420 feels different, being that it's a 25.1" scale vs. the SA's 25.5" scale.

SA160 vs. SC series

I have the SC420, and I love it. I will never part with it, as long as I live.

The SA160 is a Korean guitar, so be weary of the quality. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad.

Plus they have non-locking trem, which always leads to tuning problems.

If you want the SC420. but can't swing the cost, check out the SCA220.

It's Korean made, but has almost the exact specs of the SC420, sans the fancy binding and also has different pickups.

My sister-in-law plays one, and it's a great guitar.

It's still 25.1 scale, which (IMHO) makes it sound pretty fat.
