Says its a 470, but I don't think it is.

I'm thinking it's a 550 for some reason. Can anyone clarify?

hmm, yeah maybe im wrong, but it looks like a 550 with a rosewood retboard. It also looks like it has an Edges trem, which isnt found on RG4xx's. The enck pickup also looks like a dimarzio. Looks like a pretty good deal

I don't think 470s have pickguards, do they? I want to get a case too...Do you think I should get this guitar? A case would cost like 30 bucks or something.

That's a rotten picture, it shows no detail. The trem routing looks more like an Edge Pro/LPE routing than the smaller cavity for the Lo-TRS II that came on many 470's. It does look like a 550, but it could just be the crappy picture or the camera angle playing tricks. Perhaps it's a 470 with an upgraded tremolo?

I'm no expert, but that pickguard looks like a homemade job. I would get what you want if I were you don't settle.

INF pickups and writing on the trem wing (makes the trem TRS) - this is RG4xx with home made pickuard for sure.
Also the jack plug is sticking enough to be seen and on 5xx these are flatmount.

Wait for a real 5xx in a better condition and with a good trem - they can be had for just over $300 and you get 5x the guitar for your money.

The guy for that auction seems like an idiot. No way I'd buy from him.

On another, the guy says:

hi. the neck is straight. no hairline cracks except for the neck joint but, they look like finish cracks.fret wear is not bad at all. thanks for asking

That one's 7339078141. Does it sound bad? Are cracks around the neck joint bad?

Go there. The guy talks about a problem with the switch. Does that seem like a big deal to you guys? Please give me some feedback. I'm really considering buying this guitar.

I'd be pretty weary though. It looks like it's been messed with and he admits it has cracks on the back of the neck where the nut attaches.

Looks like a 550 to me. The cracks are common but it could be MAJOR, especially if hes selling it on top of the fact that the guitar is kind of ugly, but if it stays at the current price why not

cracks at the neck joint (as long as they are relatively small and don't extend deep into the body, are typical.

I'd still advise against getting a 450 or 470. Save a few extra bucks and get a 550 or 570

This is a good guitar and with 2 DiMarzio pickups - give yourself a budget but with the 2 pickups this is easily worth $350 - $400.
Pickup selector might be shot but new ones are $10 and if you are handy with the soldering iron you can change that yourself.
