Should i get this?

I found an RG 550 for sale for a very good price. The gentleman said it was a 90 but I am not extremely good at telling the different model years. From the images it looks like a 550 but it is missing a tonal pot and also looks like the Bridge pups have been replaced. Other than that it looks pretty good from what I can tell.

Well its not located here and its under 500...I have been looking for a 550. Does anyone know what kind of pups those are on the bridge and possibly why they removed the pot?

Dude, you got a JEM which is better than a 550. Not bagin a dude for making a buck but don't get it then go "oh I got it so cheap" then try and nail someone in the rear for profit. Do a good dead.

The pickup looks like an X2N. They probably removed the tone pot because they never use it. It's also the only way to have the tone truly on 'full', not that there's much discernible difference.
