It looks like I just might have to get one just to try it, and let other people know, since no one else seems to be brave enough to get on here in the US.......drop in some Dimarzios and it'll be a sweet little axe, I'm sure.

My wife just bought me the RG421 today, as a surprise for my birthday!! I love it. It plays awesome. She got me the blue one, which is the one I wanted. I'm so excited, this thing rules!! It feels so different than a regular trem-equipped Ibanez. Not that those are bad or anything. But this thing just rocks. I love it. It makes a good companion to my SC420.

I love Ibanez!! ANd I love my wife for realizing it!!

By the way Glen, nice guitar!! I love those RG10's too!

Polaris, how is the tuning stability, etc? *I am thinking of getting a couple RG421s so I can downtune, but I want the tuning to be stable, so it's between that or just getting another RG550 and blocking the trem....the Edge keeps stuff in tune, regardless of how far down-tuned it is....is the RG421 the same way, or does it drift out of tune quite a bit? *This is a MAJOR reason I am getting rid of my Les Paul and my Telecaster.

I've heard from a lot of guitarists out there that down tune that they use guitars with locking trems, but don't use them, just because they keep the tuning extremely stable. *

So far so good with the tuning, about the same as my SC420. Although I'm thinking of upgrading both to sperzels. The Edge does keep things in tune, but the sustain is better on the string-thru the body, and it's easier to set up.

I'm also going to put an Air Norton in the neck, and a TZ in the bridge, because the stockers leave much to be desired. They're not too bad, but not too good either.
