so what Ibanez trem do you all use?

Original Edge, but Lo-Pro Edge is just as good and looks better.

I only have two Ibanez with floaters, and they are both Lo Pro.

1 with Lo Pro 7 (RG7620)
1 with TRS 7 (RG7420)
1 with Lo TRS II (RG320)
1 with Bigsby (Talman)

I still prefer the original Edge and the Bigsby, but I like the Edge Pro's smooth profile. The Lo Pro 7 is indeed 'lo pro' but while it's very comfortable it's not as smooth and unobtrusive as the Edge Pro.

It all depends on the degree of whammy abuse you will be using.. Personally, I think that unless you are going to be using it like Steve Vai or lots like that, a Edge III or Edge Pro II is fine. They stay in tune great, and can handle small dips every once in awhile, as long as you dont like.. crank on it. If you want that, then go for Edge Pro or Edge LoPro/original

Of course thats also based on money, EPII and EIII are obviously cheaper materials and wont last as long, so if you can afford a EP or E lopro from the start, those are ideal. Dont let people tell you Edge Pro's are junk compared to LoPros though, they are just as good if not smoother.

How are Edge Pro 7s? I am having a project guitar made for me and im starting to think I should trade my Edge LoPro 7 i bought for a EP7

I prefer it, but the increased tension on a 7 string means neither one feels as smooth as its 6 string counterpart and I find that I use the bar less on my 7s.

I got an original Edge on my 6-string and an Edge Pro 7 on my 7-string.
The Edge Pro is really comfortable and so far I had no problems (I'm not a trem abuser though).
I think that you should get the one that is easier to find and cheaper to get (no matter if it's Edge, Lo-Pro Edge or Edge Pro).

I have 2 edge pros,one edge pro 7, one ZR Trem, one Lo-Pro, and one Edge. They all kick ass as long as they are set up right.
