Some picks of my S540 and a somewhat interesting story!!

Theres my beauty right there! 1991 S540FMTT. This guitar is great, I can't make it go out of tune! Anyways, heres a somewhat interesting story that I have for you. After jamming for a half hour, my dad comes up to watch me for a little bit. I'm trying to show off, using my array of trem tricks I have acquired throughout the 5 months of owning a trem equipped guitar. My dad says "Hey, dont break that thing" and I'm like "Are you kidding, ITS A FLOYD ROSE! ITS MADE FOR THIS STUFF!", and as I start whaling on the bar "SNAP!", and what do you know? The bar breaks flush with the trem bar inlet. It took me a few hours to figure out how to get the little bastard of a piece out of the trem hole, and then I discovered, if you take off the gold bolt at the under of the trem hole thing, and take a 1.5 mm allen wrench, you can push on the bottom of the trem piece of shove it out. Thank God ibanez made that little hole! Anyways, I've been looking around at trem bars at the 'bay and some are asking 25 bucks for this thing! Are they nuts? I'm wondering if there is any other place that sells bars for a little cheaper then that. Anyways, theres a pic of my guitar, enjoy!

lol 25 for a ibanez edge/lo pro bar is about right. but funny story man. maybe buy the bar 2nd handed?

I've had stores just give them to me, if there is a store you buy alot of stuff from they may be able to help you out.

I had one like that. VERY nice, and cooler IMO than the teal they replaced it with. BTW, that color is TB - transparent blue, not TT (teal).

Yeah, my mom went to the guitar shop and got me a new bar...its black though. Oh well it does its job.

Thanks for all the compliments! I thought the high point for this guitar was that it looked better then ANYTHING on the wall at guitar center so it caught my eye really well. I want to buy another one eventually in 06.

Ummmmmmmmm............all EDGE/ Lo-Pro / EDGE Pro push-in bars are black.

I stand corrected! i think i do remeber that at some point (not for very long) they made chrome bars and i think there might have even been a gold one? but they havnt made chrome ones for ages man. not to order anyway.

Ahh man, what a bummer it broke then! I had a rare bar! lol. If it didn't break where the bushings are I could have had somebody TIG weld it back and have it all nice and polished. Oh well, the black bar does fine
