Square heel help?

I just recently got an rg550r neck from evilbay for my '93 rg470 body. as soon as I got the neck I slapped it on. Every thing was perfect except for the neck joint. The neck heel seems to thin or the bodys joint is too wide. Do you think this is because of the age difference? Or because the neck was on a tilt joint and the body isn't a tilt joint? Will this affect playing? And I'm positive it's not fake because it has gotoh tuners.

It wont be because of the tilt joint. It might be because of age, but probably not. They are both machine made, so you wont get a perfectly tight joint.
You can tighten it up a bit by placing a thin bit of card/paper on either side of the neck pocket, to keep it tight and straight while you tighten the neck screws. Get the neck screws fairly tight and it should be fine.
