Stickers on fretboard

Kinda bored of looking at the pearl inlay dots on my grx40. Was thinking if i get those plain car stickers and cut them out and paste them as fret markers would it affect the tone of the guitar? I know the sticker wud eventually wear off but i dont really care abt that. Any thoughts on this?

I doubt that it would affect the tone noticeably.

i tried one on an old guitar to see what different colours would look like, before i splashed out.
they dont affect tone but they would quite likely come off, give it a try and see how it goes, worsed comes to worsed you can allways take them off
