Summer NAMM 2009

Is it too soon to talk about Summer NAMM? Anybody have any info on what Ibanez may do?

I think now is the time we start speculating, and the guys at Ibanez slowly release information. In the meantime I'm going to hope for EBONY FRETBOARDS!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just hoping for the RG1550's to come out in Australia, and maybe the RG1527M....

Rock on!

Re: Summer NAMM 2009

I hope the RG7321FM come here to Peru. I really want a 7 string guitar, and that looks like the perfect choice for a good price.

And, this may sound stupid, but since I love V shaped guitar bodies, I would like to see a new Ibanez V guitar!! :P I would buy it inmediately!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love the RG guitars too (I got my RG350ex), but having a V-shaped guitar made by my favorite guitar company is one of my dreams

I don't know about speculation but my wish list is still:
RGR321 in the USA!
RG/RGR1571

I'm betting they'll release the standard dot maple board RG350's in black and yellow that they already have OS. Maybe the burst 350's too that they have in Japan.
Who knows?

Hmmmm I wouldn't hope too hard.

Ibanez is now involved in the World Wood Program, of which the JEM7EAFX was the first model (hence the ugly logo). It's designed to use woods only from sustainable locations.

Ebony is pretty rare and expensive stuff.

So they turn the tree into a guitar no one wants to buy???
As Eddie Izzard would say..."fantastic!"

I really hope they come out with more lefty guitars in a wider range of finishes.

Yeah Ibanez will keep making excuses why they don't offer Ebony, while all the other guitar makers offer ebony, even BC Rich ( I mention them because they aren't very expensive, yet still offer ebony). I don't buy your excuses Ibanez, not when all of your competition offer ebony.

Oh well, maple is the new ebony. Bored to tears of rosewood. I bet the TP at Ibanez is made of rosewood. Rosewood & black paint.

Re: Summer NAMM 2009

I just hope I won't be disappointed again this NAMM. After all the PGM fallout and the declining quality and the raising prices and for Vai's sake there's a 10K George Benson model, I'm not sure why after the PGM401 I should ever consider buying a new Ibanez any time soon?

With Korea gone I still say it's time for that Made In The USA RG!!!
But like Toyota... do it the Ibanez way or no way at all!
