Summer NAMM 2009- Ukuleles!!!!

Saw the Namm literature the other day and have to say I'm psyched that ibanez is introducing a line of ukuleles!!!

I'll happily replace my Lanakai with a few Ibanez Ukuleles! From what I remember there are 5 or 6 different models. If anyone has pics please post em!

Not kidding. I know it seems like an absurd thing to be excited about but I'm an Ibanez collector and also a ukulele enthusiast. They ahve some exotix wood models as well as some standard pineapple types.

You might doubt me but you'll see that I'm telling the truth next Thursday. Its in the Summer NAMM literature that all the music stores get. my guitar shop showed me the other day. Lefty Satch and Universe, semi acoustic bass, etc...

If you look in some of the early Ibanez catalogues they've manufactured all of these already.

Ukeleles?!? Seriously! Are you putting us on?
One thing I have noticed are the many colored RG350's being sold as MF (and likely GC) exclusives in a number of colors with both maple and rosewood boards. A few more colors and they'll have a new Comet line. I was kind of hoping Ibanez would do this. Seems like the most logical move.
Otherwise, how many people play, and buy, ukeleles? No offense to ukelele players, but I don't see these things moving.

I looked quickly but like I said there were a few new colors (bright blue artcore), the lefty satch and universe, a few new jumbo acoustics.. But they are offering 5 or 6 different ukulele models, 4 with exotix wood.
