SZ vs. SZR - what is the consensus?

Now that enough time should have past, what is the overall consensus on comparing the old SZ model(s) with the newer SZR that replaced it?

Part of the reason I'm curious is I bought a SZ320EX when they were being cleared out in '08 just as the SZR was coming out.

I haven't even held an SZR let alone played one (only seen pics), so I don't really know if I should feel bad for not holding out a bit longer at the time.

So in a nutshell, for those that have played and compared both, which was the better guitar? The SZ or SZR?

I'm going to chime in, I prefer the SZ.

I think the fac that there were some quite serious SZ models did the whle range a lot of favours whereas the SZR seems only to be a budget line.

Furhermore there's something subley different about the SZR outline that's not quite right, whereas the SZ seems to be right on the money if you ask me.
