Just want your opinion on them, I'm contemplating picking one up.

Re: The new RG770s

It's maybe a bit overpriced... Try to find a used RG Japan from 90ties...

But hey, if you got the cash, go for it... I believe it's an awesome guitar

Were you thinking of getting the original RG770 or the 2008 re-issue?

I think its more about the color. If your happy with the looks, then buy it, cause as far as it being a nice guitar to play, id say you wont have to worry. Its all about if you like it asthetically...

Re: The new RG770s

I haven't seen or played it, but I think it's probably worth buying if you have the cash. Only thing I can say (going on Ibanez249's recent experience with two 770DX reissues) is you might have to get the frets sorted out by a luthier because they could be uncomfortably sharp.

Personally, I'd probably try to find an original in excellent condition. The reissue is just a little bit too expensive, in my opinion.

770 Prestige

That's how they should be.

The problem with 18 year old guitars is, 18 years of wear, and problems. Brand new for little more than most want for used you know where? I don't consider that a tough decision.

Re: The new RG770s

Are those the ones you have recieved Rich or the "improvements" you have made to them?

I ask because of those here who have got theirs in they have commented on the fret ends and it makes me wonder if all have fret probs or just handfull but not all.

Re: The new RG770s

I'd like to have an RG770, but I'm very pleased with my RG550DY... and I haven't seen the re-edition in Chile
