Re: The S series guitar thread.

im a big SZ fan. I can vouch for how great the SZ520 is, as it was my main for a year. so im sure a 2040FM would be great

They need to make a 24 fret 7 string version of the SZ, and I'd be all over that. But I know they wont, so Carvin time lol

Re: The S series guitar thread.

If it were up to me they'd make a 24 fret, 7 string version of every model!

NickCormier what are the Duncan/Ibz pickups like? I like to avoid pickup swaps if possible

Re: The S series guitar thread.

Wow, those are some beautiful guitars, thanks for sharing the pics folks

Hey S-man, how does the S2170 compare to the Japanese ones?

I have my eye out for a Japanese 2nd hander, but was wondering if you think the Korean Prestige models are worth the price, as I love the look of the spalted top.

To all you lucky S(abre) owners out there, please post more pics

Rock on!

Re: The S series guitar thread.

It's poplar burl. I recommend getting a japanese S. There are a few nice things about the s2170. Overall it doesn't compare to the older ones.

Ibanez is supposedly going to have a new japanese S next year.

I'd wait or get an older one.

Re: The S series guitar thread.

Thanks for the info S-man

Are you referring to the rumored Herman Li signature 24 fret S?

Any info on a new Japanese made S would be most appreciated.

Btw, that purple S looks amazing. What model is it?

Rock on!

I saw it on the bay one day and said I had to have it.

It is the smoothest playing, feeling, looking guitar out of all my axes. Even better than my 90 Jackson Fusion. I'm stoked to compare it to my J Custom 8470 when it gets here.

A few places...I can't really say, it wouldn't be the right thing to do.

I'm sorry. Things change so you never know anyway.

I don't want to mislead anyone.

If anyone from Ibanez reads this, please let it be so. How bout something like the RG20th?

Sweet guitars finstah, just wondering how the Gambale compares to the S2540 Prestige, are they similar?

Loving these pics, please keep 'em coming

Rock on!
