to E-GEN or not to E-GEN

I have my eye on a S5470
but i'm stuck on the herman li axe....
I know if I buy the S5470 I will change the pick ups and do some wiring mods...
but if I buy the E-GEN I hope to god I won't have to touch it.
mmmmmmmmmmmm.................

it seems there is no contest...
I wonder if rich would chime in and give commentary on the sound of the E-Gen pickups?

Re: to E-GEN or not to E-GEN

having second thoughts.......!
if the S5470 was just in different color options
I could do that and save 1000.00
load some EVO's in it.....
damn I just don't know and the cash is burning a hole in my pocket....
crap!!

Re: to E-GEN or not to E-GEN

I'd look into the "sustain" problems with the S5470.

I've yet to hear anyone complain about that with the EGEN.

Also, the EGEN has an Edge Zero as opposed to a ZR trem. While I would prefer a EP, LP, or OE....the Edge Zero gets my vote over the ZR.

Just a few things to think about.
