Trans Purple JPM like Ibanez pictures??? - Not Rob Balducci'

Hello everyone

I was thinking of these pictures I found on here (jemsite or the web not sure)

They were pics of a JPM like Ibanez
The body had a trans purple finish with what looked like an alder or ash body
It had H-H configuration JPM switching
in the pics the body was missing the rear trem cavity or the control cavity plates not sure

the pics are on my collection of unnamed burned cds laying around
I'll give a look there

please let me know

chris

You are probably referring to the old ibanez USRG30, they were produced between 1994-1996, these guitars were very similar to the JPM. Go to the photo gallery or catalog scans at jemsite, they have quite a few pictures of the USRG's. *

Trans Purple JPM like Ibanez pictures???

Thanks guys, but

It's not a USRG, I'm pretty framiliar with that line and I wouldn't need to ask here

Nope that's not it either simon

The guitar I'm referring to actually had the exact same swich layout as the JPM
but was trans purple, and it did not have a flame or quilt top.

I'll keep looking

You say it's NOT the Prestige 'Texas Specials'.
You say it's NOT the USRG30's.

Maybe this?
It's got JPM pickups, routing, and switching...and purple....

The RG-CSD2 and the RG4020 both have the JPM switch. *
EDIT- These are the only guitars I've found that came from Ibanez that are NOT JPM's or endorsee guitars.

Picture: *CLICK HERE
(see below for the link to the 4020)

THESE GUITARS ARE NOT BROUGHT TO THE U.S.! *
THEY ARE AVAILABLE OVERSEAS ONLY!

So don't bother your local U.S. dealer for them. *
Thank you.

If you've seen something else, it's probably a custom jobbie.

Trans Purple JPM like Ibanez pictures???

Hi there!

I just read your discussion of the Petrucci-Style Ibanez.
Sorry I can`t help with pictures of the model what Chris is searching for. *But my Prestige-RG is quite
similar. IŽll try to create a link to a picture. IŽve been searching for information about it, but no one here in Germany can give me answers. Perhaps someone of you can help me?
Its a 1996 RG-4020QMBS. Made in Japan.

Thanks,
Jens

Jens- is yours a JPM-type switch, or just a regular 3-way toggle?

These listings (one and two) don't give many specs. *
Sure is a nice guitar though (for $2300 USD!). *

Kevan,

yes, it`s *a JPM-type switch. Also I have two IBz JPM`s. *But the difference between this are the Pickups, the Neck and the Body-Material. The Pickups are DiMarzio without any Model designation. The Neck is like Wizzard II. Body is Mahaghony with Quilted Maple Top. It sounds a bit "lighter" as a JPM.
I asked Musik-Produktiv about it (there I bought it 3 years ago) . The only thing they said to me was that it is very limited and that the PU`s are custom-made. I think they are PAF`s. They didn`t know how many of them were produced.

Winterlong-

Yes, That's exactly the guitar I'm talking about, I think the neck is different on this one than the pictures I have, but regardless, that is the body and colour.

I knew I wasn't :loco:

Now to find one for sale :loco:
