tremolo replacement

I know this has been discussed about 1000 time but i dont think anyone has touched on this before. I have a stupid question about replacing my edge pro2. the edge pro2 on my rg is screwed. I have it blocked rite now. I know someone who has an old licensed floyd that at least works. My question is, I know that the wings on the licensed floyd are too wide for an edge route, what about the back? is the cavity long enough? if it will i was thinking about filing down this old floyd. and at least i could play it.

Seems to me you would need to have measurements of "the old licensed floyd" in question. Or at least a model number.

Edge Pro 2 can be replaced with Edge pro.

Yup, i replaced mine with an Edge Pro, even kept the same posts, except I wrapped them with some teflon tape, now they're very stable and so is the trem!

It should fit in just fine. i think the edge tremolos are bigger than Ofr.
