tremolo system from rg 770

hi, i own a rg 770, and since a few weeks i got problems to keep the guitar in tune after using the tremolo. (of course i add new strings :-)) i tried to fix this problem with a blackbox, but its still remains, so i kicked off the blackbox. has anyone a guess, or face the same probs? thx steini

i'd suggest the ibanezrules.com setup guide. Should fix any tuning issues you have.

you could have worn knife edges. how old is the tremolo?

i bought it used, its a 92 model, i think, its the original one...

Hi everybody,
thx for your links to solve my tuning probs, but i found out following, which i have no explanation: when i lay the rg on the table (flat) and start tuning, it keeps in tune. as soon as i take the rg in the playing position, the tuning goes flat, i do not touch the strings or the arm. has anybody an idea? thx steini

Have you checked if the neck is tight in the joint?

Never tune in anything other than playing position.

yep. gravity is playing with your floating tremelo.
