No, they came with that one (ah, the time when Ibanez would do something out of the ordinary !). The one on the right used to have one, too (you can still make out the drill holes) - I should have a new one made for that one.

Yeah, I loved the pickguard models! They were the unofficial Skolnick models werent they. Even though they werent, if ya get my drift! Very tastey stuff all the same. What ya want now is a couple of neon coloured ones too.

Awesome guitars. What a collection! I'd love to have one someday, preferably one of the 24-fret HH models.

Skolnick said in an interview years ago that other than a few photo shoots with the guitars, he didn't use the 540PII. He had a custom one that he rarely played. He never endorsed that model and seemed a little bitter, as I remember. I believe he now plays Martin guitars and has for a while.

Re: Triplets... (540PIIs)

dude, more pic's please! hopefully you can get one with the whole guitar from head to toe.. lol..

one thing that i might like about these guitars are that they allow the player to streach up to the 24 fret easier i guess.

Re: Triplets... (540PIIs)

I really dig the 540pII shape. If that trio were mine they would ve already been customized though! Imagine one of them with a vavorna root burl sunberst top, another with a satin aluminum top, and the 3rd with a custom graphic.... may be an HRGiger graphic?

Congrats on the guitars!
