I hear ya, I'm boring too. Previous to now, I never did anything but standard and occasionally dropped D.

As for the trem, I don't need it. I tend to play pretty aggressively and would probably want to at least block the trem off so that I wouldn't have tuning/intonation issues.

If I can get the price down to where I need it to be, $150-$175, I may pick it up. They look to be quality guitars for the money--good enough for bar band stage use, eh?

I apologize for never responding again in this thread, i missed your replies. The reason mine is a HH config is that I had the body cut to install the emg 81/85 set. Originally it was HS.

as i know, Ibanez didn't have active pickups nor active circuitry (boost, EQ etc) at the time. someone made it before you bought it.
