unknown body

hi, i have guitar body with an aanj and i dont know what brand it is, i have looked and i cant find any ibanez' that are similar to it. when i bought it, it had a single coil in the neck and hb in bridge with a single volume knob and a lp style selector switch, does anyone know what it could be.

the charvel neck was on it when i got it. it obviously is the wrong one.

Re: unknown body

Very nice axe. Btw, did you checked the intonation on this thing? The string length may be altered because of the mismatched neck.

I'll bet the trem is stiff with all those springs

Re: unknown body

Maybe he doesn't use the trem? There is no arm screwed in there, and with the 5 springs too... this tells me he doesn't use the trem. That's not surprising anyway -- vintage trems go out of tune a lot.

Re: unknown body

Could be a Blazer reissue- they had AANJ and a more traditional shape.

Re: unknown body

Why are you assuming it's an Ibanez? I'm 99% sure it isn't - not only is the body shape all wrong, but I've never seen an Ibanez with that cavity cover, either.

Re: unknown body

Screw holes look homemade and the AANJ is shaped oddly. Would not be suprised if someone took a sqare heel and did a home AANJ job.
