Used RG with no model No.

It's in great condition minus some slight cosmetic dings here and there. It's made in Japan, but it has no model number to identify it. I asked the store owner and he said the older RGs had no model number. I've had other experiences with this store that were less than satisfactory so I just wanted to see what anyone knew about it.

Another plus is that it has a HSS pickup configuration.

Is this worth looking into?

HSS = RG560 probably...without pictures though this thread is kinda useless

A lot of people pealed the little sticker off the back that said the model number...

How do you know it is Made in Japan, is it because of the neck plate? Does it have the square neck heel joint? It probably is an RG560. Very nice guitar, if that's the model!

Most likely a 560, but could be a different model though, like a Blazer or something. Without pics there's no telling. Another possibility is a 770.

770 = HSH.
760 = HSS.

Well after a LOT of googling, I wasn't able to find anything. So tomorrow I'm gonna go by the store and take some pics.

Re: Used RG with no model No.

Well some dude snatched it . It's been there since I started playing three years ago and in a week or two's time, gone..lol. But that's my fault.

I did however find a used S470DXQM for $430 that someone had just brought in. It didnt have a trem bar and none of the ones in the store fit tightly enough to stay in well so I suppose something may be something that needs to be fixed with the bridge, but that didn't stop me from putting it on layaway.

That isn't a picture I took but that is the same color/model. There are several brilliant techs in the area, so getting it fixed up isn't a problem, my concern is that it is made in Korea and that the bridge won't be reliable, tuning stability...constant fiddling...ect... And considering this is my first guitar that has a trem and I don't know anything about the Zero Resistance/Zero Point bridges on the S series guitars, so I wanna know what you guys think.

EDIT: Here's a better picture + the specs and stuff. http://www.dcmusicstore.com/Ibanez-S...lectric-Guitar

It's cheaper than what they sell for on ****. I have a zr trem. I hate it. It rattles and it drives me crazy. It is next to impossible to figure out where the rattle/vibration is coming from.

Re: Used RG with no model No.

Well I didn't notice any rattling or vibration while I was playing it.

My main concern is long-term reliability/tuning stability..ect.

I really won't use the trem that much either, more for subtle solo-accents and occasional divebombs.(of course I say that now ).

But the guitar itself played so solidly and looked so nice that I'll just block the trem if it will be a real problem. But it would be nice to have a guitar with a functioning floating bridge.
