"Worth it" depends on the buyer. It's a great guitar, and that's less than it would have cost new. But these have gone for less, and if you had some time to wait, IMO you could have saved a couple hundred.

But, great axe!

Does anyone know the original price. Also keep in mind that this is a 1993 model with the ibz pickups. I think think in 94 or 95 they were switched to the QM pickups

Jimi,

If it's worth 690 of your dollars, then it's worth it =)

Re: Was this S540FMTT worth it?

It's worth it because they don't make it any more, and a comparable new Japanese Ibanez is at least that much today. So to satisfy the desire for that particular guitar, I'd say $600-$700 is fine, since it's in pretty good shape with clean hardware. It's not that far away from "new" condition, especially for a guitar that's over 10 years old. Would I pay that? NO. But you did not get ripped off. Yes, they're out there for less money, and some are probably in pawn shops for $175. But you can't obsess about that. It's a great guitar.

I will also say, however, that for $690 it had better be exactly as pictured, AND the neck should be in perfect shape. For that price, I would not hesitate to return it if unsatisfied for any reason.

Re: Was this S540FMTT worth it?

The seller sent me a pic of the guitar in the case hes shipping it in at my request. He also has his own guitar store website http://www.kgr-music.com/ and he has really good feedback so I trust him. He also told me that other then the small nicks shown everything is good. Also he told me the neck is a 10 condition wise, so I guess we will have to wait and see...
