But not quite as effective these types of trems are 90% of the time far stiffer than their floyd counterpart. The flutter will never be exactly the same, non locking trems strong point are vibrato, locking trems strong points are pitch shifting and flutter, but each are capabale of a comparable amount when setup properly.

the type or trem on the ibanez SA2020FM seems more like a floating bridge, iv never tried the guitar though. so im assuming the two-point synchronized tremolo type bridges(SA2020FM) are better for flutters and stuff like that than the vintage type trems(like on Ibanez AT)

Listen to No Substitutions, Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton live in Japan, Luke is Whammy bar Fluttering all over the shop! He use Musicmans vintage style 2 point fulcrum trem, I have an axis sport with the same trem and while you can get it to flutter a bit it doesn't last as long as a floyd, something to do with the floyd has more mass past the pivot points so it sustains the flutter for longer, more momentum.

True knife edge trems have less friction thats also why they stay in tune better, so they will flutter better

You can also flutter with the trems on the PRS.

and Yes for the old Ibanez TZII trems. I also agree with what Fleeeep said about the flutter lasts longer on the high mass Floyd/Edge style trems.

My Vintage Fender Bridge on my USA Yngwie Strat is amazing! For me, its better than any floyd I have ever used, and it doesnt come with all the hassle of a floyd either! I love it to pieces I really do. They are fantastic bridges. All the flutter and divebomb stuff I need!

I'm interested how Fender's American Deluxe two point trems flutter. I've tried them few times but never tried really how they flutter.

Is this bridge any good, I think it has a rolling nut and locking tuners?

American Deluxe models have LSR nuts and locking tuners and they stay in tune well. It's pretty good non locking bridge.
