Question

What about the RG350EX?

Anyone know anything about the RG350EX? It costs $400 and seems to be pretty average when it comes to Ibanez RG guitars, and the reviews are fairly good.

I'm attracted to it mainly because the pickguard. I can't find enough ibanez guitars with pickguards, HSH, and an edge trem. I want to put some holes in the pickguard for some pots for a wiring scheme I think might be cool because I don't want to drill holes in the wood of a guitar.

Suggestions and advice is appreciated. =D

I have one, it's not a bad guitar. Average, but worth the money.

I have the DX which is basically the same guitar in white.

You get your moneys worth definitely. There is room for improvement but its easy enough to upgrade.

I think it's hard to get a better guitar for the money unless you pick up a used guitar

I thought it had an Edge III..? Or are you talking about an older one (I have no idea what they used to be equipped with).

Yes, I got one, it has the Edge III.

Older ones had an Edge Pro II, and the oldest models had a LOTRS

Yeah, I think it is an edge III, but I don't know the differences between the edges except that they're good for making trippy sounds.

What about the RG 2550 EGK Prestige (ooohhh)? It seems like the perfect guitar for me but I don't want to spend the bones for one. I've been looking around for a used one with little luck, though. I do, barely, have enough money for one but then I'll have to stick with my Roland Micro Cube >_<.

RG 2550's are stonking good guitars. If I were in your position I'd look for a good condition used RG550. There was one on the bay the other day, a RG565 no less, that went for $400. I would have had it myself if I hadn't just spent £500 on bloody books.
