What color pickups/knobs would you put on a custom black or white guitar? - Page 2

I can't remember if I still have that case? I think it might have my RBM1 in it, but I also might have used it for a guitar that I sold. I like the black interior M150C that was around in the late 90's, when they went away from the twist latches.

I keep all my square heel RG's in the newer blue interior M100C cases. I like those, plus they stack really nicely.

They're speed knobs, my personal favorite. Now only if I can find some for smooth shaft pots, then they'd be perfect.

I just haven't gotten around to going to GC to get a white switch tip. It's definitely on my to do list.

My project guitar is going to have a fixed bridge, however, and I feel like fixed bridge guitars look better without pickguards.

I'm 99% sure that you can't get them for smooth shaft pots. They would need a screw on the side to keep them from just spinning without doing anything, and i don't think any company makes molds of speedknobs with set screw.

I always love solid black guitar, not any black with other name : galaxy black, himalayan black, whatever black.. just a solid black.
to me it's always a classic.

I'd have all black hardware and black pickups on it.
pure black.

if it comes to white guitar : black pickups, black hardware.

Oh, I'm well aware. I've looked extensively.

I do have some extra set screws and a drill, though. I might give it a try next time I redo my electronics.

Two, if you count EX121 I learned to play guitar on years ago. It's black on black.

I love threads like this!! I picked up a black RG350MDX in like new condition with a white D Activator in the bridge and a black liquifire in the neck at a steal. I've been thinking about which way I want to go with it. I'd love to either swap the bridge/neck for some green evo's and then throw on some green strat knobs. I'd also been thinking about swaping the black pickguard for a white pearloid RG350DX pickguard and either going all black or white with the pickups. So many possibilities! Have to figure out which way I want to go and get to posting in the classifieds here!

I never thought to ask if knobs were comfortable to use or not before I played a EBMM JPX which, while being the best playing guitar I have ever played, also had the WORST KNOBS. If you've never seen them before, instead of having mostly-vertical sides like normal knobs, they are domed which takes away the usable area and the only vertical portion is the bottom half.
