Re: What does GAS mean?

Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

It is an expensive affliction that hits everybody here at some point. it's the uncontrollable urge to buy 'just one more' guitar or other piece of gear.

GAS means you would rather live in a cardboard box than go without the next anniversary model JEM.

Gear Acquisition Syndrome is a dangerous condition brought on by the sure knowledge that you only need that next guitar and your life will be complete... oh, and that amp....and an acoustic....... and a few stompboxes..... geez, a pink JEM would be nice as well........

Tha's so funny how it's basicly how he^ described it for everyone. I prevent it by setting a certain amount of money I can spend in a certain amount of time.

Yes it is. I purchased a UV7PWH and another 7620 this year. I guess that is enough for now.

I've definitely got GAS. I only had 2 guitars for 16 years til 2 years ago when I bought my 1st Jem. 9 new guitars later, 1 amp, a GNX4, and 2 Wah pedals later...... and still want more stuff.

Re: What does GAS mean?

Its the wierdest thing, I finally feel like I have too many guitars. I haven't even shopped for gear in the last 6 months or so. Its like the last one was guitar pepto or something.

5 is a good number too!
