What gauge strings for semi-hollow such as artcores?

Hey guys got my first artcore today and was wondering what most people use for strings on them? When I was reading reviews I heard a lot of people say they put on heavier strings then the stock ones and was wondering if that is common for semi and full hollow electrics. If so what gauge would be good? 10's or heavier?

I'd put 11s or maybe even 12s. Flatwounds aren't my cup of tea but a lot of people like them, you may want to check them out.

Probably 10s of heavier, but there is nothing to say you shouldn't use 8s or 9s, it's all up to you. Invest in a few packs and experiment. I love flatwounds, and that's what I would put on a jazzbox. On an ES-335 stye guitar I'd probably use 10s or 11s (I use 10s on regular electrics, and flatwound 12s on my fretless).
