I was expecting this to be the very first comment...lol
Honestly the headline was more designed to a.) draw comments...(which it did) and, b.) Was more a reference to a legendary object long since lost...I was NOT actually trying to say that it was the end-all, be-all of guitars. Sorry if it came off that way. As we all know that is a subject that could be debated for months, and is clearly a case of personal opinion.
Well the guitar arrived...It is a serious blast from the past...stunning! The neck seems to be fine, no issues from the time spent in the case.
After the comments here I have decided to go ahead and keep it..."Pink DiMarzio's"....NICE....I like the idea... but I was always more of a lime green person, maybe neon blue...haha. I think what I am going to do is just replace the whole pickguard, electronics and all. Just take the original off totally, put it up, and load it with one with whatever pick combination I decide. Really want a sustainer guitar but have to check into if the fsk 101 requires routing. not cutting up the body for a 401, I'll pick up a 350 or something for that.
Anyway, thanks for all the comments...I'm going to go make my fingers hurt...lol
