What Kind of Guitar?

Hey guys i was wondering what type of S540 this is, it says S540FM but its not, its not even a flamed top, i was thinking a BM, any info is appreciated, my uncle bought it.


the serial number is Serial #F237770

i was thinking that also but ibanez register has it that the BM only came in Antique Violin

as well so far what i understand is 92 is the first year they used the AANJ joint and 93 was the year they switched to the Quantum (Q) series pickups, but i checked the 92 catalog and 93 catalogs and the QM are not in it, any idea what years these were produced?

1993 was the first year for all the S-series getting the AANJ, and they didn't start the QM pickups until 1994. Probably a early 1993 with a 92 SN#.

That guitar is a S540BM, not a QS. That's just the way that finish(AV) looked back then.

thanks for clearing that up Torshiro i still think it looks more like a quilt but BM was my first idea
